Ok so I shold have said " Almighty S2000 drivers, please clarify if this car redlines at 9000 or 8900, even though Honda is telling me it's 9000." What was I supposed to think? It's not like I said I "heard" or "my friend said" ect. Anyway, Im really sorry to step on your toes. Flame on....

Or did Honda make one S2k that did not go to 9000 rpm?
JustBlaze:

Please look at your first post.

You could've asked something nicely like "I thought our car redline was at 9000rpm?"

JustBlaze,

Actually, I would have thought that your original post had been funny if it hadn't been wrong...

But I have a mean sense of humor. Anyway, don't sweat it dude. And for the record, you don't *have* to own an S2000 to participate in our circle jerks. We are cool with NSX owners, too.

Yes it is true that the redline is at 8900.
But isnt it also true that our cars DO rev to 9000+ ?
And that puts them in an elite group that only includes maybe one or two others (e.g. Ferrari 360)
I think the rev limiter - which I often hit - is at at least 9200.

So which is the important fact?
- when the tach advises you to change gears OR
- how fast you are revving just as you do change gear.

The post started with justblaze laughing at someone else's expense.
I don't remember his post looking like that two days ago.

Was it changed?
I think I remember more of an attitude.
Anyone else notice this?
