Or did Honda make one S2k that did not go to 9000 rpm?
Yep, I agree, but it looks like the shoe fits on YOUR foot, The redline is 8900 RPM.

Good point. However, I think I'd go up for awhile, at least to get a solid curve for how badly power drops off above the peak. This is particularly true in this car, as I'd want to make sure I didn't "short shift" and hit the next gear below VTEC.

How's that for a bass ackwards rationalization?

Incubus - the 'guy' you were talking to on rxi.com was my daughter and I dont think she was calling you a liar - she, like me, has been led to believe that the redline was at 9000rpm on the S. She loves this car as much as I do and it seems that a lot of other people that own this car thinks the redline is at 9000rpm. That doesnt make us ignorant or

[B]Err, uhm, you start out by informing Incubus that the poster he thought was a guy is actually a girl. Then, you go on to admonish us to not stereotype girls as being clueless about cars. It seems to me that there was no consideration for sex made in any of the postings on this thread. Did it occur to you that maybe, just maybe, you were preaching to the choir here???

Anyway, no matter if you are male or female, if you frequently post on Internet forums, you're gonna get dumped on sooner or later. Remember, it's just the Internet and not the end of the world.
Now let's all go to 8900 or 9000 or whatever it is we want to believe...
