Here is a picture from a Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R. Notice the 9k redline. I thought only the S2000 had a 9k redline

 

Is that stock? Sure doesn't look like it.

 

That must be an aftermarket gauge marked with a 9K redline. I've driven a built R32, sat in a R34 V-Spec, and own many Best Motoring and Hot Version vids. Factory-issued R34 V-Specs redline to around 8K. I'm pretty sure the R32 and R34 redline at or less than 8K.

Hey, I've seen Hyundai Excels with tachos bigger than their steering wheels. I don't think it's a case of 'need'!

 

So at what point does monitoring some part of the engine become more important than seeing out the windshield?

 

Why is the E-brake between the driver and the shift knob?

 

because it's right hand drive?!

 

Here in Australia we have right hand drive but our S2000 handbrake is on the passenger side of the gearshift - which is where I for one expect it.

However I drove a BMW which had it on the driver's side - where it was very uncomforable to use.
