One of the best autocross cars I have ever owned was a 1976 9C1 Camaro, but our 1969 SS 350 Camaro was a better car in every respect except for its handling. Both were fun cars and both were as reliable as a stone. I wish I'd kept the SS 350, but I never warmed up to the 9C1. We bought both cars new; The SS 350 cost $2800, and the 9C1 cost $5200, and both represented a heck of a lot of bang for the buck. "Cheap thrills."
The worst thing about Camaro's is something they have in common with the S2000. Too many haters own them. Haters should all have to drive rusted out Yugo's.
If you want people to look, try picking your nose while stopped at a red light.

how do you know that the s2000 that he saw wasn't the most riced out gaudy s2000 on the planet with a fart canister?
It was probably a riced out S that he saw and he based his opinion on that.
The words "gaudy" and "buzzed" give it away that it was probably riced out bad.
