Add me to the windshield list. Urgh!
Got a nice Q-tip sized dinger today hours after claying and waxing the car. Before I realized it (it hit right where my inspection sticker is, so I didn't notice
it until I got out of the car) the darn thing had made a "J" pattern crack about
6-inches in length. I'm wondering if that exceeds most glass shops ability to repair? I've got a mobile van coming to my home on Monday. Should be interesting. Until then, I duct taped over the small hole (you can't even feel any indention...weird) with hopes that it prevents any further spread. I don't plan on driving the car for the rest of the weekend.
This windshield rake (or lack of) really encourages these chips but I've been lucky. Up until today, I had two tiny ones and they were barely visible.
