Default Adjustable Camber on the S2k

I have comptech springs and Volk 18s.

I am going to get an alignment this afternoon and I want to have it done with negative camber to help with the rubbing.

The guy at NTB said I might need a 'Camber kit' to allow for adjustable Camber but he was going off of Accords and Civics

Does the S need anything more to adjust the camber????????

Please help - my appt is at 4 PM Central today!!

Don't listen to the guy at NTB. As far as I know, there is not a camber kit available for the S2000. It is adjustable from the factory.

yeah, as said before, we have a camber kit already. It allows minor adjustment, you won't be SQUATTING, but you'll be able to adjust it enough...

The S2000 does not have a strut type suspension like the cars he is thinking of. You should be able to bring the car back into factory spec with the factory camber adjustment.

Well I brought it in to NTB and they are working on it as we speak. I told him negative camber and that I was trying to angle the wheels in so the fenders won't rub...hopefully they get it right but I got 1 year of alignments so if they didn't I can take it back...

Well they adjusted the ccamber in, but it didn't stop the rubbing on the front right tire...a dent has emerged on the fender and I just had it fixed for $250 I've raised my car up AGAIN and now the fronts are getting very close to the height of the stock springs (or so it would visually appear). This has really scared me off from modding my s2k again in the near future. I'm drained...the past month my car has been a headache rather than fun...sigh the tires are too wide. I guess I should have bought smaller tires UNfortunately now I don't have money for a new set of tires so I guess I'll wait until these wear and then buy a set thats narrower; especially in the fronts unless anyone has ne other ideas

you gotta be kiddin me! daaaaaamn. this sucks.

remember this: if you are raising on one side, it will make the other side dip down a little, so be careful. Your tire size seems the be the same as mine. Now, I used to run Yoko es100's which have more of a corner on the sidewall and would be closer to my fender. I now run Kuhmo 712's and they are more rounded giving a *little* more room.

Maybe you should look into some Koni's or something to stiffin that suspension up? Man, I'm sorry you are going through so many problems with it bro. When I come up to Austin next, I'll buy you a beer or somethin!-

Hehe no worries tom - its all good; I guess stiffer might be good but I think I am going to run narrower tires next time so that they aren't out to the fender...255s & 225s seem just too wide. Anyway I adjusted up again last night on just the fronts and I am going to do the rears tonight (the right rear was being a bitch so I said it; will some wd 40 help move it around?)...but no rubbing on my test areas today so I am FINALLY high enough!!!

Live and learn; the camber adjustment will cause my tires to wear more quickly so when they need to be changed I'll have them put the narrower tires on and if they clear the fender then I'll drop the car some more

I still have about an 1" drop...so its not that close to stock; just looked like it last night when I got it off of stands

actually, only the 01+ civic has a strut type suspension. civics, accords, and integras have wishbones. these cars require a camber kit, usually either a new upper control arm or modified arm mounts, to change camber.

a strut type suspension's camber kit is normally an adjustable plate for the top of the shock.
