Default Adjustable DBW?

In an earlier topic, I mentioned that the tip-in was poor on the new car, when you first go from off-throttle to on-throttle it's almost like having a flat spot, hard to get a clean shift. Someone said "the computer will learn" but it's been 2700 miles, no change.

Is this adjustable, is it even worth taking back to the dealer?

Even the cruise control has a little trouble with it.

No.

Shame too because the S2000 used to be know for its immediate throttle response. Way to go there Honda

I'm not so sure guys. I seem to recall seeing a thread in which it showed the throttle cable actuating a "pedal position sensor". IIRC there is a little slack built in to the cable to pulley interface on the sensor just like there is in the mechanical throttle. I seem to recall that a black cover needs to be removed to access this.

This one dealer, who tried to sell me an 06, tried to get me to believe that the car was faster with DBW. I laughed, my girlfriend didn't understand, I explained what it is to her, and she asked him how it's possible to be faster than cable.

DBW good for planes
Cable better for cars

DBW does have a cable, but instead of us pressing on the pedal to open the intake, there is a rotor that does it.

In a sense: DBW = Throttle->Rotor->Intake Open, instead of the old fashion way Throttle->Intake Open. It's kind of like having a middle man.

You mean you don't summon the underwear gnomes to pump your fuel? I have them open the door sometimes too. It's faster.
