i just got my car a few weeks ago and the drivers side headlight is a little lower. some people said its should be that way but it really annoys me. i read in the owners manual that you have to take it to the dealer to have it done. does anyone know how to do it with out going to the dealer?
thanks

It's not actually "lower". The "notch" (or cut out) gives it the optical illusion that it's lower. Adjust it to where you think they're level and you'll blind everyone coming towards you.

Dave, this "how do I get rid of the notch in my headlights" question comes up so often that I think it ought to be in the FAQ. Can you please try to get this into the FAQ? Thanks.

I hate to do it since it's been answered, but what the hell, here's your break...
You can't adjust them to be level. The lights are individually notched so that the left side of each beam is lower. If you pull up close to a wall, you can see this. If you don't believe me, tape up one headlight and look. When they project out, they overlap and it appears that the left side is lower. They did this so you don't blind oncoming traffic.
