That's why I didn't buy one with the pattern.

I know where the gears are

I just like the way the knobs with a pattern look. More completed IMO. I am going to take mine to have the set screw installed tomorrow.

Vik2000,

All you need to remove the OEM knob is a 14mm wrench to loosen the nut. The new knob will not use that nut, just screw it on.

Of course I ran outside and put it in the car immediately. My wife was just shaking her head

OMFG!!! I can't believe how much I love it. I have quite a few mods on my car and I think this $100 mod is my favorite! I have never had such a good time rowing through the gears before and it feels so much better just holding the knob

Never thought I'd say that.

Voodoo

I should have done this years ago!
Told you that you would love it. I was the same way when mine came in and Sarah had the same reaction you just described from Steph

I should send mine out for engraving while the car is in storage all winter.

Either that, or sell your's outright to someone who wants a non-engraved one and order yourself a new one with the pattern. Did you get the pearl finish too?

Yup, spun aluminum pearl. I don't mind not having engraving, but one time my father had to move my car and couldn't find reverse

I definitely like the look of the pattern. It's too plain Jane without it. With all this talk about knobs, one has to wonder how a knob shaped like a ball sack would sell, or better yet, two ball sacks screwed onto the shaft.
