Don't all S-2000's have a jamb nut below the shift knob? Mine has one. just screw the knob down to where you want it, hold the knob, and wrench the jamb nut up tight against the knob.

If all S-2000's don't come with a jamb nut, get one, it makes removing or adjusting the knob much easier.

 

Yes, they all come with a jamb nut, but counter-sunk knobs like the Voodoo do not use it afterward because the countersinking makes it sit much lower.

 

ohhh so just remove the nut and screw the new knob in. gotcha
