Default Adjusting "stuck" Ohlins coilover

Hopefully somebody has an idea or suggestion that will help me out here. I'm adjusting the ride height on my coilovers, it was a little too low, finger and a half gap tire to wheel well. I'm making the move to a two finger gap which is 13 1/2" center of wheel well to center of the wheel center cap. The issue I'm having is one of the rear coilovers appears to be seized or something. It was fairly difficult to turn lowering the car, but it got there with out me struggling or anything. The problem is now when I try to turn the assembly after backing off the bottom locking ring...it's not moving whatsoever, it's basically adjusting the pre-load up as that frees itself from its locking ring..

Any suggestion how I can get the pre-load to stop spinning free from its locking nut?

You're trying to turn the coilover upward?

Lock the two "preload" rings together tightly.

Spray a little silicone spray or WD40 into the threads at the bottom mount.

Use the BOTTOM "preload" ring (second one from the top) to turn the body counter clockwise.

If you're trying to do this using the UPPER ring, it will have a tendency to loosen itself and adjust preload.

I'll try that with the WD40. I didn't want to spray anything in there not knowing if it would affect anything. Thank you for the suggestion.
