How does that work? How does it help to seat the rings? I've never heard that before, but it sound reasonable and I am curious.

i haven't been doing that in 6th gear, but i've been ramping up my "imaginary" rev limiter to 5k since i got the car. i'm at 600 some odd miles now, but haven't VTECed yet. i have read that giving it about 50% throttle in a high gear for about 2-3 seconds occasionally is beneificial to break-in.
in any case, i did the same thing with my first S2000, and it ran strong. never got it on a dyno though.
