Within your price range I would recommend the WRX. Four wheel drive, 0-60 and 1/4 mile performance close to the s2k...kind of a poor man's s4! I have a Forester which is an EXCELLENT car (need the space for my 110lb Labrador). Since the WRX is built on the same mechanicals, I would highly recommend, Subaru's are BULLETPROOF.

The used S4 would be a fun car, but there's no way in hell I'd own an S4 that is out of warranty. Those things are having problems left and right and many Audi dealerships are starting to get downright shitty on what they may or may not cover under warranty if they even THINK you may have had it at a track, modded or not.

If it goes on sale over there the new Civic TypeR is meant to be the business, could not believe how 'cheap' it is going to be on sale for,

If you're going to go the Suburu route as an option, add this to the list:

Find yourself a used 2.5 RS (preferably '98 or a '99), add suspension (not necessary), add rims (again not necessary), and a turbo (yet again, not necessary but you should be whooping up on all the WRX's).....

You will have a great looking, great performing, year round drivable Suburu!

If you can wait I'd reccomend getting the RX-8.

10,000RPM engine and about 220 ponies from a 1.5? liter engine, back seat and all.

You would have to wait a little though.

My vote would be the dark blue TL-S once the 6-speed is offered in the fall

If I had to buy one car to drive all year round, I think that would be it.......luckily, the del Sol is a better snow car than one might think!

I would even consider driving a real beater (old $1500 Accord) for the winter months....but you do have a longer winter there.

Good luck....let us know what you do.

Luder94.....do you have something against buying new?

I was planning to pick up an RSX on the intro date. After test driving an WRX a few weeks ago, I placed an order and got my deposit back from Acura. The WRX is fast and a blast to drive. The wierd factor is just icing on the cake.
