Default AEM CAI Owners...

Did you guys clean your filter yet? I've had the intake installed for awhile now, figure it's time for some cleaning, do I need any special equipment or just spray with water?

You cannot spray the filter with water. Get the kit and follow the instructions carefully http://www.knfilters.com/clningacc.htm

Clean that filter at least every 6 months, I'm sure it's filthy and restricting your airflow, do it. . do it! Be sure not to over oil when it's air dried after you degrease and clean it good.

$9 at any auto parts store. The kit has degreaser, oil and directions. Take off the right front wheel and pull back the plastic wheel well after you pop out the clips. Easy as pie!

Yes, I'm a male (not gay!) Hygienist, the pay here in Florida ranges from $20-35/hour depending on where you work.
