Default AEM CAI and warranty

About to bring in my 03 S for service, mainly oil change because the first one is free and am wondering whether the dealership will say anything about my CAI? I have an extended warranty and dont want it to be voided because of this slight mod. Also, going on a road trip to Vegas on the fourth in my S, wanted to know if there is any precautionary measures I should take to make sure I get there fine. Kind of worried about the temp and the long drive. My S has 18,500 miles on it.

Thanks

Before your trip id check your oil, twice.
check air in tires, and there wear.
And just check your oil at every fill up
I drive from dallas to houston 3 times a year no probs.

Dealers can't technically void your warranty because of a CAI (unless of course you suck up 3 gallons of water during a flood and hydrolock your motor). However, crooked dealers (which most of them are), will be the first to point the finger at a modification and say it was the cause for your problem because they usually don't know anything about mods and they think that you think they know what they're talking about and will trust their findings. Remember, perception is reality and if they want to accuse you of "racing" your car because you have mods done to it, they can and I wouldn't put it past them to try it. Bringing it in for an oil change is one thing, but if you actually had a problem, like a check engine light, stalling, bucking, etc... I would take that CAI off and put the stock airbox back in before you take it in or you'll have nothing but problems.
