Just installed my intake last night. This was my first official mod to the car. Let me say that I could not be happier with the result for the money spent. The car runs torquier (is that even a word - ?) throughout the powerband. The low-end is still a little weak, but enough improvement is there. When V-tec comes in the difference is definitely there. The engine is so loud now man...especially now that I have the hardtop on and with the windows up it's loud! For you locals that are familiar with the area where I live, I am at the corner of shoup and burbank. I ran the car a couple of times before and after the install to see what the differences would be. Well let's just say that I took the car from Topanga and Burbank and took off going west towards shoup. My brother and a buddy of his (who helped on the install) could hear the car from over half a mile away!!! Of course it was 11:00 at night and not many cars were out then, but still, that's freakin awesome! Can't wait to do some tunnels or something like that. For those in doubt, go for it, you'll be happy with the results.

The only thing that pissed me off is that when we opened the packaging up there was a bolt that was missing so I had to take a bolt off one of my bicycles to complete the install. Other than that the install went real smooth. What a difference some air makes.

....now, what should my next mod be? They were telling me to get headers. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

The last thing I want is a louder S. Is their no CAI that won't make it louder?

i agree, i would not want an s2k that you can hear from a half a mile away!!! That would drive me crazy!!! I would go with the comptech cai, its a nicer noise.

The fact that you can actually hear it from so far away is not really what i am excited about , I just couldn't believe it last night when it happened. I was just surprised, that's all. I just really like the way it sounds now. It really changed the sound/feel of the car.

meloman, just so you know, I didn't mean to be critical of your preference for a louder sound. I really am looking for a CAI that won't increase the decibels much.
ferrariman, do you have the comptech one in your S?

Right, BTW I love my cars to be loud. You should get an exhaust system now.
