AEM Install Problem
Ok -- it came with a 3/8 inch hose instead of 1/2 inch. No problem. It also was missing a nylon lock nut and washer. No problem.
The problem: which hoses connect to the air control solenoid? I have 2 smallhoses from under the cam cover area, plus another 2 small hoses coming up from underneath the cross bar (coming from each end of a black box). I have 2 unused connections on the air control solenoid.
Can someone either post pictures of the small hose connections, or give me a walk-thru of where each connects?
I couldn't find any pictures which showed this, and the instructions are useless on this point. They mention the wrong hose sizes and say to connect the provided 'hoses' when there is only one hose.
Thanks,
Tanq

Richard,
I wish! Spoon products are out of my price range, except for thermostats and other little stuff.
I made an educated guess (hmmm...this hose will only reach this far, this hose will go all the way to here...) and it runs great, and no CEL. I am still not positive that it is correct, so I would really like someone to tell me where the vacuum hoses and those two small hoses from under the cross beam attach.
First impressions after a 10 minute spin: I suspect that there is more torque at low rpms. I do know that the car f*cking SCREAMS when I hit VTEC or go to WOT. Normal street driving sounds about the same as before...I think I understand why people buy aftermarket exhausts after listening to what an intake can do.
Also: I did not take off the bumper. I did have to take off all of the undertray and jack up the passenger side of the car, but that is all. Once we build up some expertise in the group, this should be an easy install.
