Hi I have a problem. I installed an AEM intake in my car and whenver i star the car it makes a pitching sound which is not normal. Is it supposed to make that noise naturally or is there something wrong? thx in advance.

 

like a humming sound?? whistle kinda?? if so, YES, i have it too

 

me too...it goes away after a few seconds

 

Thw whistling sound is normal.....I had it on my AEM and I have it with my Comptech....

 

it's completely normal. it's usually caused by the secondary air injectin module. also, the intake will cause a "whistling" noise. this is also normal.

 

, I used to have one myself.

 

I have it on my comptech but its not nearly as loud as the humming with stock airbox with the lid removed.
