I've been following Westmaster's 'AEM EMS WOES' thread for some time and as a fellow S2k owner I feel so sorry for him

If I didn't have my S2k for 5-6 weeks for whatever reason I would be very very upset
It's almost amazing how he manages to keep his poise and tries(?) to stay cool.

I personally have nothing against Advanced Engine Management systems, but it SEEMS like AEM has a shitty product out with no proper tech or software support.

They should realize that they have a very UNHAPPY DISSATISFIED customer.

I sure won't be looking into AEM EMS mods.

Just my 2 cents.

AEM is well aware of my position/take on this whole project. I speak with them on a dialy basis and they have read every post I've made on this board...there is no misunderstand of my frustration.

On the flip side, I can say that AEM is doing everything to get the car completed, to prove that their system can do what they claim it can. Right we're working out a few issues before we start back up...I'll post more when I know more.

What they failed to do is they haven't gottten your car up and running in a REASONABLE TIMEFRAME like you mentioned.

I can't even imagine my S2k being in a shop for more than 4-5 weeks.
I don't have the kind of patience you do.
Anyway, things work out for you in a REASONABLE TIMEFRAME.

What I thought was interesting was this:

Kirk (beginning of the vid): "...We marketed it as 'Plug and Play'. And the 'Plug and Play' term, in in-house, we're very familiar with the system. We understand what it does and "Plug and Play' to us meant that you plug it back in, you plug this in and the car is going to run with a base map."

Kirk (at the end of the vid): "Show me a stand-alone system you can take, bolt on a car and it runs."

Can you say "contadiction"?? I thought you could.

What you conveniently left out of your "quote" was that he said he regretted marketing it as "plug and play".

Way to selectively quote! Keep up the rigorous thinking!

Sorry peter, but that's how it is. You know anyone with KO4 turbos in an S4? Try tuning that thing. My friend's car has been running "un-tuned" (not at 100% per se) for quite a while...over a year, I believe. Now, the company he got his car worked on by is a VERY reputable company, and one of the best out there. Granted, there are now KO4 S4s running high 11s (actually just one I know of, which looks full race, and other running 12s). Although this is a totally differente case than Wesmaster's, I'm just pointing out that it always takes more time than anticipated.

Wes, sorry that this shit has to take so long and in the vid it did seem like he was making you (and the tuners) sound incompetent. Of course, if they were talking about you

p.s. did you get that $0.01

Please people, read my notes at the end of the first post.

Fact: It's not wes he is talking about so give it a rest. This word for word analysis of this rather vague video clip is completely out of context. Wes is not their only customer and not the only one that's had problems tuning it correctly. It's new and as such tuners have little or no experience with it. Anyone that gets in on the ground floor of such a complex system is going to be a beta tester, that's just the way it is.
