hi guys this is my first post


i just wanna know age of S2000 owners here
im 19 years old. so i thought im too young to be driving dat 4 banger monster


i just totaled car which is 2000 celica GT-S 6 speed
so im thinking wut to buy for next vehicle (WRX,another celi,RSX type S, used S2000)
S2000 was like a dream to me all the time. do u guys think im too young to be driving S2000?



insurance company got me 17G's and im gonna put dat as a downpayment on used S2000

i surely can handle the monthly payment, but i think insurance company will eat me up since i wrecked my celi

Not to be a jerk, but do a search on "age" or "age of owners" 'cause we've done a lot on this before.

And again, not trying to be an old fart, but in my opinion, yes you are too young to be driving an S2000. Not to mention you'd be paying enough in insurance to rebuild most of Iraq.

i aint mad at u. i understand. that's wut i thought. 19 years old driving S will look pretty unbalanced to all the drivers on the road
but i work hard for my future. i aint type of those kid who get family benefits



i wasnt even racing
i was trying to make a left turn on green signal but there was a oncoming traffic.
in my view the oncoming truck was way far, so i made left turn and truck hit me in the side and messed my fender and door.

since my suspension was replaced with ground control coilover and tokico shocks insurance company was having hard time giving an estimate on my celi.
plus it was in pretty awful shape.

saddest thing is i got my veilside titanium exhaust 2 days after the wreck.
trd eyelid= a week later
veilside bodykit 5 days later

jesus i thank got dat i didnt buy rims.

Why don't you get another Celica since you already have all the aftermarket parts for it? And personaly, I wouldn't want to have an S2000 as my only car for the following reasons: Comfort on long trips, Luggage space, and worrying about where to park it. Just my 2 cents. BTW I'm 24.

Thanks for understanding. There are many, many young S2000 drivers here, but it seems like a lot of them have accidents because they don't understand how to drive the car. Not saying you would be one of them, but this car can get sideways on you in no time flat, and often does to those who don't understand rear wheel drive cars.

im a young'n BUT i am also very responsible. this is true b/c im actually paying 100% ff the payments for this car, therefore i keep it well-maintained and drive safely to avoid accidents. i hate those young kids who get the s2k and think they are hot sh*t, revving left and right and making an ass of themselves.

 

i never driven rear wheel drive
and kinda worried about the winter time

i graduated from high school last year
im working in a shop full time

oh btw i've driven rear wheel drive car
300zx, supra, miata, mr2,and many trucks but only for test driving . not daily and winter time




i paid 600 for couples of months and paid 550 every months to pay em off as soon as possible. that's y i was done with my payment so quickly
200 for the insurance

my shop is located right accross the street from honda dealer so i see S all the time everytime i park my car

i've always wanted to test drive em and traded it in but i felt sorry to my mom cuz i want her to drive better car than mine
but i just cant stand emmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
they r the best looking roadster of course the honda engineering is da best IMO

honda , toyota , subara is da only option i got
i dont want no other junks

FORD AND CHEVY i cant even stick my hands into any spot

barely no spot to put rachet and wrench into
only advantage is it's easy to replace radiator and some other parts and i like the torque power


and 4 banger is a lot easy to maitance

yeah im one of the kids who got in accident.im not blaming u
but it was accident word itself ACCIDENT

it happened in a sec

my mom's accusing me of driving manaul cuz she didnt want me to buy em

i thought all of the S owners were below 30 cuz of all the pics of modded cars


my work is only 3 miles away from my home so comfort isnt much of issue

i just LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE it just like all of yall

im gonna kill myself if i end up bitching at insurance agent

all of yall r just happiest drivers in da world that's all i can say
enjoy every miles on the car
