And for what it's worth, 1 set of hellaflush wheels will probably pay for a stock S2000 to attend 4 or 5 track weekends or a few seasons of autox.
actually...any set of GOOD wheels costs that much...not just wheels you would buy to be "flush"

Point being, anyone who has spent $1200 or more in wheels (most of the hellaflush crowd) can't say they can't afford to race - just that it's not their priority (which is completely fine).

Kinda looks like a big (really really big) fat lady just sat on top of your car, and your tires get all bent out. To each their own I guess. But it's really your own personal preference. I'm in agreement with one of the other posters here. So long as you're not hurting anyone, who cares?!
Some people wonder why we drive impractical 2 seaters! =)

First, there is rice in Japan.
Second, Honda tuning did not come from Cali.
Yes honda tuning did start in cali..well maybe japan but the first big honda wave started in cali its been said over and over nobody really started tuning hondas untill cali made it big, they even worte about it in the honda tuning mag which is also based in cali. So pretty much i would not pull those offsets on my s2000 but its not rice. Look at a lot of the civic and tegs in honda tuning mag, a lot of them are running really low offsets, why? cause it what in right now. Is honda tunning mag rice then? hell no

I just don't understand why you want to do this to the S. It just looks so bad, and reminds me of all the wanna be low riders around. I seriously can't wait for this look to die like the altezzas.
Nice spoiler on the S looks like rice also.

Why not? Assuming you're a reasonable and intelligent human being you make daily judgement calls and decision based on outward appearances. Since I already know the mentality behind the Hellaflush crowd its only reasonable to want to pair a physical description to them - so I know who to avoid IRL.

If they're anything like the douchetards that frequent local (Non S2Ki) meets with 8ft Honda lanyards, pants around their asses, some douchey thugnificant hat with the price still on and a huge t shirt to hide their gut/promote their gangsterness, then yes, I'm shallow for not wanting to affiliate with these people.

heh this thread blew up quick.

btw, driven, you do realize you quoted 2 different people right? not bashing, just sounds like your bashing the same person for something he/she didn't say

as for my opinion, to fuel this topic... both have a purpose. i dont mind having stretched tires and poking wheels for my street set up. its meant to look good, and as long as its not overdone (ie. -15 camber), it looks good.

but hardly functional.

when i go to the track i run properly

to the person saying that comparing stretched tires and beefy tires at the track will never happen (yes i gathered that bit of sarcasm).... eh, ive done it. and yes, stretched tires dont grip as well of course. no flex in the sidewalls cause them to break loose much more easily.

im gonna contradict myself tho, i'd PREFER a non-stretched, beefy flush look over the hellaflush any day but like alexisthemovie said... sometimes you gotta do things to fit quality wheels (again, within reason...)
