Yes honda tuning did start in cali..well maybe japan but the first big honda wave started in cali its been said over and over nobody really started tuning hondas untill cali made it big, they even worte about it in the honda tuning mag which is also based in cali. So pretty much i would not pull those offsets on my s2000 but its not rice. Look at a lot of the civic and tegs in honda tuning mag, a lot of them are running really low offsets, why? cause it what in right now. Is honda tunning mag rice then? hell no
They don't care, whatever will sell more and get them more money.
K swaps, J swaps, Hellaflush it doesn't matter obviously they have an identity crisis.
As for the Hellaflush look, I don't completely hate it, if it is done right, then I love it, but (not to be rude alex) I really am not digging the setup above with your car. I just like a clean, simple look.
For example:

What I CAN NOT STAND, is the stretched tires, lowrider look.

Just because a "trend" or a "style" is in does not make it functional or cool.

Stretched tires look like garbage, sorry. I haven't a clue why anyone finds this look appealing. Function is beauty and this trend falls way short on both accounts.
I personally think Lady Gaga looks like a washed up hermaphodite...some dudes love her.
yes, it's HellaFail, but... as been previously identified, there are a lot of "hellafail" trends (ie. painted stock OEM wheels with the time-attack look, massive windshield banners, etc).... but it's to each their own.
I do love the NT03s on the S2000, even if I think it's entirely too low and the little mirrors look ridiculous.

Perfect example: these NT03's that you posted were MY setup. I sold them to him, same tires and all.
Another perfect example, these Mag Blue Volk TE37's... these were mine also which I sold to him. They look great on his car, no doubt. But to me, it's nothing interesting so I never bothered posting them up in the gallery.
