I can understand when people say they don't enjoy the look for performance or practicality reasons but how can you say that it "looks so bad"?

When artists draw concept cars, they draw them with no ground clearance and large wheels that are close to the fenders. It looks great and gets people excited for the cars to come out, then when the real deal is brought out with 16's and a "functional" ride height, everyone starts bitching about how ugly it looks.
Because at some point during the design phase the artists and the engineers have to have a meeting.

Are you saying the goal is to get the car to look like a cartoon? God... I can't wait until the "Penny Racer" fad hits. People will be cutting 2 feet out of the middle of their cars and welding them back together.

wait wut?

Just because a "trend" or a "style" is in does not make it functional or cool.
I never said it was functional. that is just the direction hondas are goin these days! i would not put strechted tires on my s but it is what is cool now and people need to face it or just wait till it dies and some other new fad comes out.

I don't care about stretched tires or hella flush. Lack of suspension travel is rice. When you have to circumvent a quarter someone dropped on the street for fear of undercarriage damage, you are a ricer.
