Air conditioner dripping serviced
I told you all about the dripping of the air conditioner during high humidity with the top down and AC on high. There's a service bulletin to fix it that most service departments refuse to acknowledge. I took my S2K (2001) to Honda of Rock Hill (South Carolina) and they fixed it. No muss, no fuss and no charge! I have bought several vehicles from these guys (Accord V6, Prelude, couple of used cars) and have nothing but praise for their service department. They do what they say, on time, no surprises. Danny is the Service Manager and Chris is his Assistant. Both know what they are talking about and treat their customers with respect.
I recommend them highly. Any S2K owners in the Carolinas should give them a try. My $.02.

Thanks for the information, but I'd like some more. What is the TSB # and/or what did the technicians do to the car to fix your problem? I've had the A/C leak on my friends foot once, soI'm curious what might have been going on. If it's easy to do,I'll take care of it myself.
AutoWay Honda in Clearwater fixed this for me with no problem. I believe they said there was a service bulletin or something like that so they knew what to look for and fixed it at the same time of the first oil change. No more dripping on the passengers.

Sorry I missed your question. The dripping happens when you have the AC on high during humid conditions - with the top down especially. The condensation is blown by the fan into the airbox which has a seam in it that isn't water tight. The water drips from the airbox onto the passenger floor.
The recommended fix is to remove the airbox and seal the seam with 3M sealant and tape. To do this you have to remove the airbox and remove the coolant from the system. Too much for me to do! I think it's best to let the dealership do it if it's still under warrenty.
