Air Filter Cover

Default Air Filter Cover

I've had my Air FIlter Cover off for about 2 or 3 weeks now.... was surfin the Honda Tech forums ..... and someone posted askin if it was bad for the cover to be off.... i thought it would be fine for the car except for some minor performance drops.... someone said on HT something about heat soak??? what is that?

Heat Soak = Performance Drop....basically your exposed filter is sucking in the hot engine air, resulting in a performance drop and possible bogging at low speed start ups.

you do get some heat soak but i never noticed a lot...

crack it... put it on and leave the two front clips undone and rest the cover on them, you'll have a .25" gap that will sound decent and no heat soak.
