Hey
what air filter can anyone suggest?

HKS? Spoon? others

Also exhaust system with a tidy note nothing too loud,

OEM or K&N

stay away from HKS or Spoon FOAM filter, they don't filter too well.

all aftermarket filters will filter worse than oem. If they flow better, they filter worse.

I recomend either a K&N or AFE filter. AFE is better but a bit more spendy.

Not true....it could still filter better if there is more surface area.

Given that the S2000 stock filter has a very large surface area, most aftermarket filters will be of the same size and usually of much smaller surface area, then the statement that aftermarket filters "will flow better and filter less" is valid.
