Air Horn?!?!
Can anyone please post a step-by-step tutorial on how to install a airhorn setup? I just bought my horns and I'm very skeptic on installing them "blindly" (also I'm too cheap to have it installed). I know it would help a lot of other people as well. Thank you. Latez!
There are a few people that have done this... but here is a link for reference...

I'm sure others will be able to give you excellent tips... but this is an excellent start!

- wait for the car to cool
1. painted the compressor and the 2 horns black so they are not easily noticeable.
2. removed the 2 front plastic air dam plates from the engine bay so you can reach your hands through.
3. mount the horns according to the instructions. I'll post pics later tonight as to where he mounted mine.
4. run one 14 or 12 gauge wire from the battery to first a 20A fuse then onto a 20A relay.
5. cut the stock horn wiring: it's rather short, so what my installer did was he traced up the wire up to near midway between the fuse box and the stock horn, cut it, and connected the wire to the relay.
6. the relays should all be the same, just make sure you ground it correctly, preferribly onto the collection of other grounded wires on the side of your engine bay. connect all power sources together, and your horn should work like a charm.

I installed Alpex airhorns and compressor inside the engine compartment. Rather easy. Seems the S2K was already engineered for the installation. No removal of the front or grill was required. On the battery side of the compartment, just after the radiator, there is already a hole in the compartment wall, and hand access is provided to install the nut for the bolt upon which the compressor rests and is secured. The nut I held in place with a wrench and trusty duct tape while the bolt was inserted and tightened, finishing with "liquid washer".
I made myself a bracket from an aluminum brace for a rain gutter, drilled holes in each horizontal portions of the bracket. The bracket, shaped like a square "c", is about 4 and 1/2 inches in length and each end piece is about 3/4 inch. The bracket is strapped to the compressor with a hose clamp. One horn is sustended from the bottom horizontal. The other is suspended above from a 2-3 inch piece of plummers tape, secured to the top horizontal partion of the bracket and placed at an angle to allow both horns to fit, facing forward between the fender and the air intake filter box. Air hoses are attached and secured using the smallest hose clamps available. The entire installation fits under the hood with no modification.
The electrical work was done by a neighbor,as he can read electical diagrams and has the equipment to test for proper readings. However, I can describe general locations. The attachment to the battery is by a ring fitting which fits on top of the existing positive batttery clamp. The lead to the relay has an in-line 20 amp fuse, purchased at my local auto store. The relay supplied with the horn set-up is attached to a bracket that already exists in front of the battery. Honda supplied a nut already installed and a whole for a bolt should one not have the same diameter bolt as the secured nut. From the relay, one wire goes all the way to just before the plug for the existing horn and is connected to one of the two existing wires to the plug. The existing plug is disconnected allowing for reinstallation of the original horn should it be desired sometime. The second wire from the relay leads to the bottom the of compressor with another wire from the compressor to the existing ground post, right in front of the compressor and adjacent to the radiator. There is a second wire comming directly from the relay which is also attached to the same ground post. I then wrapped the wires with the black circular cover, also available from my auto store. If you read electical diagrams, you should have no problem. Good luck.
Sorry no pics.

Well I installed the hella triple air horn and I'll try to give you the run down. Sorry no pics.
1. Go to home depot and buy a 8x10 sheet metal shingle and a pair of tin snips and some flat black metal/rust paint and some red and black 12-14 GA wire and some 12-14 GA crimp connectors.
2. Remove the front bumper. There are a bunch of bolts under the front, a few on the top (under the hood, open it) and clips with bolts inside the front wheel wells.
3. Disconnect the stock horn and remove.
4. Using the tin snips cut the sheet metal into a piece roughly 2" wide and 4" tall. Using a hammer and a block of wood, bend the sheet metal 90 degrees length wise (2x1" folds 4" long)
5. Drill a 3/8" hole about 1" down from the top on one of the folds. This will mount the bracket where the old horn was.
6. Drill three more holes on the other flap evenly spaced. This is where you will mount the horns.
7. Attach the horns to the braket, longest trumpet on top and test fit.
8. Remove the horns and paint the braket. You should make sure you get a galvanized shingle and paint it anyway.
9. Mount the relay inside the engine bay and the compressor I mounted bolted to the plastic liner near the horns.
10. Run the wiring and air hole per instructions and you are done.
The bracket is a bit fiddly but one shingle is plenty of material to make a prototype or two.

I'm sure others will be able to give you excellent tips... but this is an excellent start!

I installed the Hella compacts. Not quite the same, but the wiring should be similar. There are pics and a very detailed instruction set. Improvise for the parts that don't fit the airhorn install. Use the tips from the people that have installed the air horns.

Remember there is no one right way to do it, but there are plenty of wrong ways. Take your time and think before you cut.
You won't regret the installation.
