air intake

quick question do i keep the box on over the stock intake or take it off what will it do for me

taking it off with give you a lot of noise under throttle, but will also suck in hot air and rob power.

As others have said, if you take it off it will result in a meaner sound, but it will also rob you of power. Unless you are desperate for that sound, most members here would advise to leave it on. Besides losing power you will probably get your filter dirty much quicker as well.

If you like the sound of the box off, consider an aftermarket intake.
