I was looking on auto trader and came across this for sale: http://atcm.co/VDPTXTSHRE/232e69c2
there’s also a Craigslist ad: https://austin.craigslist.org/cto/d/harker-heights-ap-s2000-full-red/7355700485.html
When taking a closer glance I noticed the seats and door panels seem off-color. Did they come like this from the manufacture or has this car gone through replacement leather?
also do you think the rarity of this interior option justifies the premium on the price tag? If there is a better forum to post this in, please let me know
The coloring looks normal to me, but that car seems pretty tampered with. The light markings on the door panel outside edge are from either damage or removal of the panel. The front lip is not OEM as he says in the ad, you can tell because it sags on the ends. It seems too modified/messed with to be getting top dollar. Nice car with some nice additions though. Maybe he will work on the price.

Less miles, less mods, less money. AND the BAT tax. I would think a 2000 vs a 2003 is almost inconsequential in terms of money at this point, although glass in the top is nice.

The blemishes on the door panel come from slamming the door onto the seat belt buckle if it's not fully retracted. I make it a point to ensure my belt fully retracts and my buckle is near the retainer on the shoulder bolster before closing my door. When I bought my car it had the same damage, but much worse......previous owner clearly wasn't too careful, but what do you expect from a nearly 20 year old car? I'd imagine it only takes one good slam to discolor the plastic like that. I ended up finding a clean used door panel and replaced it.
For reference, here was my door panel; much worse. Car was absolutely bone stock when I bought it, nothing was tampered with, I'd know, because I've done all the tampering at this point
