I have the thick fabric. Both the CRX-Si and S2000 covers spend the entire summer in the back storage compartment of the CRX-Si, and they are not packed in. The covers are bulky for sure, but one would not fill up the S's trunk or anything.

Covercraft Weathershield folds up very compactly. Takes up much less (a lot less, actually) than half of the recessed part of your trunk.

If you want protection from hail you need a garage.

i use an oem car cover outdoors. it will absorb water and transfer the dirt to the paint. i got the cover used, around $20, so i don't really care when i abuse the cover
