It's happened a few times. I'm thinking 1 n a half gallons. I look @ the meter @ the gas station as it usually tells me I filled up 11.5 gallons. We have 13.2 gallons.

It really surprises me how fast the gas bar goes down when I'm in VTEC. I burst of VTEC lasting 30 seconds usually makes a bar disappear.

I generally have about 3 gal left when the light goes on. I've driven 60 miles after there were no bars and I only filled up 12.9 gallons.

I've noticed that the gauge in my 06 seems to be different than the 00. It isn't gradual. As zspeed says, it can go from three bars to 1 or 0 in a flash. Still haven't figured that one out. Sometimes it goes back up one bar or so. Meaning I don't rely on it and let it get too low before hitting a gas station.

I noticed the same thing. It went from like 3 or 4 bars to none in no time. I freaked out the first time I saw that, but I kept heading for home and two bars came back on. It must just be a warning so you start thinking about stopping for fuel.

60 Miles !!! That got to be a record. Let see our tank + hose ~13.5 Gallons. My car run about 24 mpg. I drive 10 miles with no bar fill up with 12.3 gallons. That about 1.2 Gallons = 28.8 miles + 10 miles = 38.8 miles. My car should be safe for about 35 miles after the last bar went out.

Thank you guys for the input.

I would say I average 2 gallons when I fill up at no bars. But I have filled up with 10 gallons one time and I have filled up with 12.7 gallons another. So, it varies.....I think we can all assume that now
