AP1 consoles have a few less bars than AP2 iirc. So AP1's bars are worth a bit more?

There have been at least 50 threads on this topic, the general consensus seems to be that while there is a HUGE amount of variability as to when the light comes on, most people have something over 2 gallons left in the tank. On both of My S2K's I have wound up putting in between 9.8 and 11.0 gals AFTER the low fuel light comes on.

More true here than anywhere;
"Your actual mileage may vary!"

Keep in mind it's generally not a good idea to run a fuel injected engine out of fuel, so err on the side of caution.

Cheers,
Mike

Someone has stated the S2000 has a 1.1 Gal reserve tank that when you hit into that supply you will get the low fule light. No clue as to how true it is though.

I have an AP1 and usually get the light with 2 bars left and it will sometimes goes from 2 straight to zero then back up.

Someone else said that the fule guage is contolled by the TPS and is an estimate due to the driving conditions of the car. This was ExclusiveAutosports I believe. (Love Fabed, Sebring car)

About 2 - 3 gallons. The first time I filled up with no bars left, i filled it 10.5 gallons.

It really surprises me how fast the gas bar goes down when I'm in VTEC. I burst of VTEC lasting 30 seconds usually makes a bar disappear.
When at 9K, your car is making only 7 mpg!

What an excellent question. I have been thinking about this since the first time I visited the gas station. I'm with the 2-3 gallon club. I have driven just over 50 miles with no bars and the gas light on and still only put in just over 12 gallons.
