Default Altered Atmospehers in Gaithersburg is Awesome!!

Just was at Altered today to have some dyno tuning done and have my vafc installed. Everyone was great! They have some awesome cars there!!

Very friendly and helpful. Great sales and tech staff. Mike the owner is great! They do everything, turbos, engine rebuilds, custom mandrel tubes, custom exhausts, you name it. HUGE facility

Go there! Great rates on dyno time and they work with you till it's right!

I'll be going back!!

So how do you like that new Mugen exhaust? Tell me more about VAFC tuning...how long did it take and are you REALLY happy with the results? I'm thinking about what I can do to the car that provides the most bang for the buck and a VAFC seems to be right up there.

PS. damn this thing is loud

laughing...I told you it was loud!!

It makes some pretty good hp numbers though. I'm guessing probably almost 10??

Vafc tuning really helped me since I was running rich in the midrange and a little too rich up top. Great bang for the buck. I only got about 8hp from Vafc, probably due to the SC.

I'd say definitely do it!

BTW, I found what I think is an extra gasket for the exhaust, connects the cat to the exhaust? do you want it??

Yep, it has to be good for some real gains. Definitely more pull at the very top end of the rev range and better throttle response in general.

Dude, it's HELLA loud but I love it!!

I put it on yesterday and just bolted it to the factory cat gasket. The car only has 3000 miles on it, so everything went together real easy; less than 25 minutes on the lift total.

If you want to drop me that gasket in the mail then cool or if you know anyone going on the Delaware Valley run on Sunday then I can pick it up there. I'm obviously not in a rush for it but maybe I'll crack the system open and pop it in there, maybe not.

Hell, 8hp is nice with or without the S/C. How much dyno time to get it "right?"

Check out https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=59504
and there's more stuff hiding in the Delaware Valley forum.

Bring the gasket and you can get an earful of the N-1 from outside the car
