Do not do business with these people. As many have stated above, you have alternatives a plenty.

Please post the name of this dealership so that we may steer potential buyers away from these buttholes.

By the way, sorry that you are going through this. The car is wonderful and will be worth it in the long run.

Hang in there.

Go to the Dealership, show them this thread on their computer, and tell them you don't want the extras or you're going to post their dealership's sir-name for all of us to boo and hiss. Tell them their reputation's on-line (no pun intended of course)

Yellowsky, The same thing happened to me @ Van York in High Point. I really enjoyed picking up my deposit in my new baby I bought in Asheboro. Shop around, and good luck.

Thanks to everyone here for helping me prepare to set some balls on fire.Excuse me,NUTS,as in LUGNUTS. Pizzaaz, that is so incredible, its exactly the same dealer,Vann York in High Point,NC.I was going to call Asheboro tommorrow.Pardon my newness here, but in the group buys,is this April Huval the name of a contact person at a dealership. This may be worth a serious look.I would be worried about to many highway miles if I drive down to pick it up during the break-in period.Maybe something can be worked out.I'll check with her tommorrow as well. Thanks again for everyone's help.I know when I get my stook (and I WILL get one!) I will be in great company! Look forward to hooking up with some of you someday, just hope it's sooner rather than later!

April is a contact at a dealership in Lafayette. Just email her and she'll get right back to you. Chris S bought his car there and raves about how great they were...

Get your deposit back and go to Priceline.com. They found me a car here in CA (home of overcharging) at flat MSRP. It only costs 50 bucks if they find the car you want at your named price

HTH!

I bought my car from April, and she was very easy to do business w/...it was the most pleasurable car purchase I've ever made despite getting no discount. I paid MSRP + title + license only (no BS doc, inventory, etc. fees) - $32,821 out the door (no tax since I did an in-and-out w/ a more expensive car)!

Hey Yellowsky - a couple of thoughts for you.

1) I bought my '00 sight unseen when all we knew about the stook was what we could find on Japanese web sites. Unfortunately almost everybody was paying MSRP+ in those days. There was a small website that listed 'bad' and 'good' dealerships:

http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Street/...1521/s2000.html

While it is not exhaustive by any stretch of the imagination, you can use it as a veiled threat to 'expose' the dealership to 'millions' of web shoppers as an unscrupulous business.

2) Go to Crown Honda in Greensboro and speak to the new car manager, Clark Morgan (336 854-9900). I ordered my car from him (the first in Greensboro) at MSRP. Clark is fair AND he is a fellow stook owner himself.

Good luck!

Rick

after you buy your stook from a different dealer, make sure to go by and say hello to the gentlemen at that crappy dealership.

i did that once before when i bought a dodge ram and the feeling was incredible, a bit childish, but fun just the same...
