took me FOREVER to find my car. But the wait is worth it, since you will most likely have no regret

I must agree, those problems should be fixed first before they sell. But know, that would've also increased the price. I cant imagine them fixing it for free to tell you the truth with all the problems.
I guess one thing you can do is write a list of all the problems you want fixed, bring it to them and have them sign off agreeing to fix it once purchased. Somewhere along there, state that their doing it free of charge and if there is any future problems, it will be fixed free of charge as well. Lets see how willing they are to stick to their word when you ask them to sign.
Just throwing it out there if your still interested in this particular car. Good luck with your purchase.

Don't touch it. It sounds like a car with issues, and if it's shaking like that and has paint bubbles, chances are it was hit hard and badly repaired. Have you run a Carfax on it?

If your dealer is anything like Burns Honda near me, 'certified' doesn't mean much. I looked at a supposedly certified car, and it was a mess. The interior was scratched to hell, the paint (Berlina) looked like my kid had attacked it with a brillo pad, and last fall's leaves were all over the engine compartment. This was AFTER the certification process had been completed.

I know how tempting it is to have this one in front of you and think it's "THE ONE" but it sounds like there are some problems showing already. This could be a good thing because they're problems you won't have to cover out of pocket with another car down the line, but it's also concerning that with 30K the car is having some issues that were serious enough not to fix before having potential buyers looking at it.

Tough call, but if you don't mind a potential headache I would document everything in painful detail and have the list of parts AND current symptoms signed off on by the Sales Manager as well as the owner of the dealership to ensure if you have problems down the line the blame doesn't get passed off on some salesman or manager who isn't there anymore. The owner should be there indefinitely if they are a good dealer.

You could end up with a fairly low mileage S2000 in good repair, but you want to make sure everything is covered on paper before you drive it out the door.

Well I just called trying to get my deposit back from them and spoke with the manager. I asked him why it was not going to be certified before I buy it and he stated that it was being sold "AS IS"!! So basically the salesman was completely bs'ing me the whole time about it being fixed. He said that is why it is at the low price. The manager was a douche as well, the whole time he was stumbling his words trying to think of something to cover his ass.

Well anyways I reported them to Honda national customer relations, doubt it will accomplish anything but I feel a little bit better at least.

The search continues now.
Thanks everyone for the input on this, with out a doubt it helped me see past the want for one right away!

Did you get the deposit back? You use the word "Trying" but never confirmed you did.

My dealer wasn't the best upon purchase, but my car was in perfect mechanical shape due to good care from the previous owner

The car obviously have multiple accident or crashes that was not report.

If it too good to be true, then it probably right. You cant buy Cheap S because S are not cheap. You buy cheap you will be screw in the future.

The dealer obvious can't repair the car that why it is there like that.

Act innocent and go through the contract. Later sue the dealer to take vicarious liability of salesman's fraudulent misrepresentation. Take the awarded damages to buy yourself a brand new s2k.

lol j/k

I haven't gotten the deposit back yet, they told me it would take 48-72 hours to get put back onto my card.

I'm also going to do a charge back with my card as well in case they try to screw around more.
