Agreed. 15k for an AP2 w/ less than 50k miles is too low in my area (Nor Cal). However, that doesn't mean deals aren't out there. I scored my 04 w 11.5k miles for 18k. It took me several months to find this gem though. I say wait it out and you'll find the right car at Your right price.

Yeah crap time to sell. Market went up a little bit these days since it's summer but still they are low if you look in the right place. Just look on eBay abs see horrible the resale value is on these now. A couple years ago when I bought mine I was looking at 04's being over 20 grand now they are as low as 12 or less depending on miles. With brand new going for mid 20's 3-4 year old ones with 50k do not have much value. I gave an ap1 and plan to never sell it as I'll get practically nothing for it anyways.

im still trying to figure out where you're finding these early ap2's for less than 12k. i know the market has taken a tumble for these cars, but theres no way in hell you're going to find a clean title ap2 regardless of the mileage for under 13k

furthermore, theres no way you'd be able to find a good condition clean title lower mileage 04-05 for under 15.5-16k

12k? 13k? Not in my area.

Average asking price for an 04/05 here is $20k, which is fairly commensurate with book value. These are clean, low-mileage cars. You'd probably be able to haggle them down $1500--more than that and they'll tell you to get lost. So figure $18.5k to 19.

I just bought an 06 CPO, 1 owner, no stories with 27k miles for nearly $3k under KBB and I still paid more than $20k excluding fees/taxes.

Unless your dollar is worth a lot more than mine, most of the numbers I've read in this thread are way out of wack.

That's a good bit too much. You can find brand new for 5 grand more so looking around longer and maybe slightly further away will get you much better deals.
I know people get upset with how cheap they are no but that's what happens to a cat that never changes and many people get tired of. Ap1's with 50k or so are going for around 11-12k now. So an ap2 04-05 is really around 15k 06-07 more like 16-17k or so.
Blue book means nothing if people aren't paying it. But I guess if people dont look ok eBay and to their research people can sell them for more.

My cousin is looking to buy soon and he is finding 05-07s with 3-20k miles for anywhere from 18-21. I paid 14k for my 02 w/ 70k last october, right before the market shit the bed.

Just make an offer, if they don't accept, keep your eyes out. A deal will pop up sooner or later.

im still seeing 04-05's with <50k miles sell for 16-17k in good condition. 15k will get you an 04-05 with in excess of 60-70k miles and in mediocre shape.

thats definately high. i paid 18k for my CPO 04 with 30k miles last july. they can be had now for about 17k with roughly the same mileage or 16-16.5k with a little more miles.
