I am repeatedly amazed at how excellent the paint on older S2000s appears. Some of these cars are nearly 7 years old and appear brand spanking new!

Even New Formula Red reamins rich and lusterous. Historically, red seems to be the car color that starts to fade and dull the quickest. That's not the case with this little beast's paint job. It remain as red as my woman's...er, never mind.

I don't think the great paint is Honda specific. There are lots of civics out there that look like they have been sandblasted after just 3 to 4 yrs. The look prematurely worn - ready for Carmax!

So, what makes the S2000's paint so gosh darn good?

 

It's not the paint it's the owners... Take care of something, it will last a lifetime.

 

Mine still looks great but only because she stays cleaner than I do.
That and the fact I don't leave her parked in the sun all day.
