I replaced my side markers with some clear '95 civic markers, and put in the amber bulbs. It's not worth it for me to run the risk of another reason for a cop to pull me over - I already run without any plates... I like my civic markers better than the MG racing ones, they sit flush like the Jetta side markers (after removing the retaining clips and using some 3m trim adhesive) and IMHO they go better with the debadged sides than the one that sticks out.
