I thought I was going to see Bishop driving your car. Mind, he was a "synthetic person". I don't have a cell phone so androids have a different connotation for me. Looks nicely integrated all the same.

Running Android 8.0. Can run android auto and apple carplay. I'm using Nova launcher right now. The stock Joying launcher is pretty ugly. But since it's android its fully customizable.
1280x480 resolution. Not the best but certainly acceptable.
CPU: Intel Airmont 8 core 1.8GHz -- Ram:4GB Hard drive: 64GB. It's fast enough.
4G and Wifi. GPS. Microphone for google assistant/phone calls
Fully detachable screen with a footlong cable, with the option to buy a much longer one from them, so you can really mount it anywhere.
I mounted it on these steel ball phone mounts to angle upwards and allow for position changes.
Install required no damage or modification other than removing the radio door the normal way (removing 2 pins and spring)

The only thing I still need to do is install a Metra ASWC unit so I can regain dashboard volume controls.

Small video I just shot here:

Nice job, looks perfect for this car. I noticed you had the same idea for blue LED footwell lighting I had a few years ago.

I have a post in there too. Didn't think it was some ground breaking original idea... Just sharing some different modifications with the community. Not many venture into those more specific forums on regular basis unless looking for something in particular.

Thanks. lol! Those strips are full RGB I just get bored and change the color pretty often. For the more boring consumer, dull white is an option!
I have the 20th anniversary footwell lighting kit coming soon, but thats only white. The benefit is that it actually can turn on and off when the door is open, instead of constantly illuminating your legs. I also think it comes with a door LED too.

You can have your foot well LEDs illuminate with the door open. It's a single wire by the driver side kick panel. The foot well LEDs will follow what the overhead map lights do.
