Android meets the S
I wired mine so they are on all the time. It took a bit of adjusting to get the right illumination I wanted. I got the idea from my MDX that came with the lighting standard. I actually got the units I used from WalMart! I just cut the wires and adapted the the units to fit the added fuse/circuit add on.
where did u order the phone mounts for the face plate. Just ordered the radio today. A link would be helpful
8.8 inch Single DIN Joying Android unit. JY-HOS01N4GS-2. Around $350 on ebay.
Running Android 8.0. Can run android auto and apple carplay. I'm using Nova launcher right now. The stock Joying launcher is pretty ugly. But since it's android its fully customizable.
1280x480 resolution. Not the best but certainly acceptable.
CPU: Intel Airmont 8 core 1.8GHz -- Ram:4GB Hard drive: 64GB. It's fast enough.
4G and Wifi. GPS. Microphone for google assistant/phone calls
Fully detachable screen with a footlong cable, with the option to buy a much longer one from them, so you can really mount it anywhere.
I mounted it on these steel ball phone mounts to angle upwards and allow for position changes.
Install required no damage or modification other than removing the radio door the normal way (removing 2 pins and spring)
The only thing I still need to do is install a Metra ASWC unit so I can regain dashboard volume controls.
Small video I just shot here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQkIddpNVJA

You could try getting away with one, but it wouldnt be as stable.
Also, If you have an AP2 center console I also recommend some felt tape or thin foam tape to cover the far bottom edge of the faceplate. The metal WILL scratch up your center console. See link below for an example of what I used. It's not at all visible once its on there. Just cut a thin strip.:
thank u. Very helpful
Im using two of these.. one on either side of the back of the screen, in the middle (vertically). So it still has the ability to tilt up and down, but not side to side.

For sure. Also passenger seatbelt rattle. A small strip on that interior trim panel at the top.
I try to hunt down all the rattles in my car, but it gets harder when you replace panels with carbon fiber, add more speakers, a piggyback ecu, add an exhaust, add subwoofer, etc. Less stock pieces and more additions means more potential for rattling from what I find. Esp regarding the interior.
It took me so long to realize my VTEC solenoid cap wasnt secured and would rattle at certain RPMs. Have had CAT rattles, rear diffuser rattles, soft top tray rattles, rear trim panel rattles, latch rattles, you name it lol.
