ok, i've just about had it with the noise coming from the forward passenger side. this "gggsss, gggzzz, gggzzz" vibration/rubbing sound when i'm driving on the freeway with the windows and the top up. it sounds like the top is making the noise, or the latch, or the window/rubber piece rubbing. whatever it is, it's REALLY annoying.

any suggestions?

Try lubricating the top seals as described in the owner manual.

Yep, you get a boatload for not much from the dealer. It's silicone based. A little goes a long way.

What do you recommend cleaning the rubber with before applying the stuff? I was thinking just a damp cloth.

I don't know if it's the same sound, but my shift boot(sorry Rick) makes a rubbing sound against the shifter. I just re-adjust it a little and it goes away.

Mingster. Sounds exactly like what I have. I am not sure if it's from the convertible top. I am not surprised that there are some noise from a convertible, but there are times when the car is rock solid. BTW My car is only 420mi. Let me know if the grease thing helped.
