Never ordered from him, but found his prices for hardtopvparts were higher than a lot of others. I wanted to support (cleveland native) but between process and PR I was too skeptical.

Thanks for the heads up.

There is nothing I hate more than what you described where the seller has no problem taking your money without telling you the part is back ordered.

"Sure, I'll take your money and provide great customer service as you slide your credit car"

Weeks later when you are looking for your parts "customer service, what is that? We got paid and the ball is in our court now, lets make that sucker, i mean customer, wait it out"

that was my exact thought at the time, I do know lots of guys have had good experience with HTG and a few like me did not. He has since changed his operations a bit and he made it sound like he was back on top of things, but Starchland got caught up in the same thing just a couple months ago, so who knows. I'm pretty much done with the issue though, as always buyer beware.

I've had a few orders from HTG and never a problem but this has been over two years ago. I'm assuming that in these times past, HTG worked and ran his business and it was his only business. I'm also going to assume that the present issues with some customers derives from the fact that HTG may be working at a routine 9-5 job and thus does not have the necessay time it takes to operate a personal business as the relatively flawless enterprise it once was.
Still, after saying this, if the time and situation comes and I need certain parts, I will probably order from HTG.

I've purchased about $4,000 in parts from the HTG and not once had a problem similar to the OP. All of my emails were answered within a day or two and with detailed information. I'm sorry some have not had the same experience, but in my opinion the HTG is a first class service!
