Try dynoing your car and stand behind your car while it's being dyno. You'll love the array of small objects that hits you .

Just a suggestion. If you are certain that you did not pick up these objects from your own construction site, you may want to contact the city and report this. Although they may want a specific location of where it happened and you probably don't know that, it never hurts to try and you never know what they may or may not do about it.
