Another TSB-054 Story...
I put my car in the shop recently to have TSB054 performed on it. The clutch was pre-ordered by the dealer (Shockley Honda) and was delivered to them in three days. I immediately scheduled an appointment for this past Monday. The car was dropped off at the dealer at 7:00 a.m. Monday morning. By 4:45 p.m. Monday afternoon they had finished the job. I must admit that this "fix" went as smoothly as it possibly could have.
FYI, believe Honda when they say that the replacement clutch is louder than the stock clutch because they aren't lying.

Can someone please explain?
Thanks
In the service bulliten Honda says that the original clutch gets louder as it wears, around 4K mile. The revised clutch is supposed to be louder than the original was when new but will not get louder as miles accumulate.
bjl,
Perhaps my statement was a little misleading. The replacement clutch is quieter than the original clutch when it comes to the deceleration "buzzing" noise in the 2k to 4k rpm range. However, the replacement clutch is louder than an original clutch having fewer than 4000 miles on it. Overall, I would have to say that I am happy with the replacement clutch.
