Shouldn't be a problem for the Accord: http://forums.torontoaccords.com/viewtopic.php?t=43428

Or if you don't want to get your key reprogrammed and are willing to swap immobilizer chips: http://www.driveaccord.net/forums/sh...d.php?p=123238

I wish I could figure out what part of the remote control circuit affects the frequency.

Of course, that's probably no guarantee that the signals set out are appropriate for the s2000.

In general, there are 3 things that need to work for the keys to be interchangable.

1. The key pattern. For the cars with the laser cut keys (like the Accord), you can just have the Honda dealer cut the blank. Or buy one milled for the other type of key or mod the key so you can swap them (like the RSX mod).

2. The immobilizer chip. This needs to be programmed by the Honda dealer. If you have the all-in-one integrated Accord key, the chips are interchangable, so the dealer just needs to program it. If the chips are not compatible (like the S2000 key), or if you don't want to pay for the dealer to reprogram the chip, you will be swapping out chips between the keys.

3. The keyless remote. This can be programmed at home, but they need to be compatible. The all-in-one integrated Accord key is the same, so you just need to program the new keyless remote to your car. However, in the S2000, the remotes are not compatible and here-in lies the problem.

That's interesting... Looks just like the VW remote. I might try that in my Mitsubishi. I just hope the rest of the keyless system isn't less capable because it's not a reputable brand.

On a side note, I just got my Acura switchblade key today. Too bad it's going to take a lot to get it to work.

Check this out: http://www.g35driver.com/forums/showthread...&highlight=keys

I dont know see why the S2K key would be any different than the Infiniti Key. It was one pretty easily here.

thats pretty ghetto looking....lol but i guess it works, its cool =)
the problem with that (and ive thought about it) is
you cant really cut the s2k remote in half...its not like that g35 remote where one half is empty

I found the datasheet for the main chip on the S2000 remote: http://www.ortodoxism.ro/datasheets2/0/00e...tkp7zohuefy.pdf

I'm not an Electrical Engineer, so is the Crystal Oscillator on board the chip what creates the transmission frequency? Or... there is something labeled "CST" which is on the back of the board. Is that what does it?

back from the dead......

so the keyless remote duplicator i bought from ebay doesnt seem to like to duplicate our honda keyless, i was able to duplicate an aftermarket remote, so i have to assume the duplicator is working and because our oem remotes dont contuniually broadcast if u hold the button down it wont let me duplicate it. (or maybe the oem keyless is codehopping? i have no idea)

hey rob any idea of just swapping the 2 cst's from both boards ?

think that would get the freq working on the TL remote?
the tl's is on the front, the s2000's is on the back......
