The Accord keys were discussed before. I recall people claiming the key was too small to fit everything correctly. The Accord key isn't really that big, so maybe the immobilizer in that was reduced in size as opposed to the S. The Type-S key, being a bulky peice should have enough room.

...I guess if you never had one, it's pretty interesting and fun to play with. Just keep pushing that round button to flip the blade out and put it back.
I think that's the point. I stole my friend's VW blade key and played with it for over an hour.
I tried it last year with the Accord key. I used the chip from my valet key. Got the key cut at the dealership. The key will start up the car the only problem is the RF unit doesn't work with our car. It's a different frequency. The FCC Id on our S is E4EG8DJ. The FCC Id for the Accord is OUCG8D-380H-A. In order for the Acura key to work it would need to have the same FCC Id.
Some guys on ClubRSX have managed to modify the TL/RDX switchblade key to work completely with the RSX.
linky please
Had forgotten about this. One of our members said he picked up the TL switchbalde key from his dealer for just $49 - I'm trying to find out where he got it from.
So in order for the S2000 to recognize the TL switchblade key frequency, they have to have the same FCC ID #?
