Any down side to using key-less lock/unlock

Downside on using the actual key (as experienced in my 1982 Oldmobile Delta '88):
The wear and tear of inserting and exerting (<---I know it's a made up word, but you know what I mean) on the kew and the internal components of the door lock.
This was one of the main reasons I had to get rid of my Delta '88. I had to enter through the passenger side door on the random times my driver's side door lock didn't want to co-operate (with the original key that was pretty worn or even with the extra key) in unlocking.
Even the main ignition key had enough wear on it that turning the ignition had gotten tough....I'm now experiencing this on my Prelude.

To summarize:
Cons to using the key
1. Scratches in paint around the lock
2. Broken off piece of key in the lock when the lock was frozen
3. Worn out key from over use no longer works to start the car.
Cons of using the remote
1. Sitting down with the keys in your pocket accidentally pushing the panic button.
2. Sitting down and wondering how long it will take the idiot to notice his car alarm going off in the parking lot.

Hey some of you guys have this car outside in the winter (I think it's winter in Canada 11/12 months of the year
) which allows for the possibility of a frozen lock.
With keyless entry that's one less thing to worry about.

As a kind of side issue, I found that I could program my S2000 to use my CRV keyless remote, so I need only one bulky remote in my pocket.

How to program your S2000 to use a CRV (or probably other Honda) keyless remote:
See http://www.handa-accessories.com/crv/crvkeyless.pdf for instructions on how to program a CRV. These are very similar to the instructions in the S2000 service manual, and I think they will work as written. I hate typing, but if you have trouble, e-mail me at dhayner@gte.net and I will type in and send the instructions from the S2000 manual.

Re: Using the remote:
Nobody has brought up the (unlikely?) possibility of someone stealing codes to later get into your car? Don't know how much of a problem this is with the stock remote opposed to a more advanced system that constantly changes the code between the remote and base unit...
