It is not from the seat belt hitting the passenger door or the head rest hitting the roll bar, the clicking sound is coming from the back of the passenger head rest. I had my friend drove my car today, and me on the other side looking for the noise. The clicking noise is possibly from inside where the top goes into. To me it's a metal clicking sound. The noise occurs when you accelerate while the engine vibrates. This noise is really annoying to me, and I could not find where exactly or what it is coming from. Help anyone? oh mine is a 2002. Thanks a lot guys!

I have something similar. A metal ticking noise, but it sounds like coming from the back of the passenger seat or under the rear fender.

yes, very likely the noise is from the back of the passenger seat. So did you get this problem solved?

I have this crackling sound coming from the back of the drivers side seat. The best way to describe the sound is plastic, kind of like rubbing plastic grocery bags together. It has happened twice, I have an 02 by the way.

It might be the wire that leads to the rear window defroster element.

Probably it is from the wires of the defroster touching the body of the car. Did you take out the spare tire? Coz the noise occurs after I took it out for a while. Maybe the spare tire was holding the wires against the body, and after I took it out the wires got loose and starting hitting the metal. I will go tape the wires onto the body and see if it helps. I'll keep you guys posted.

It took me 2 hours to find and fix my buzz/rattle. It was in the roll bar which isn't easy to get at. No more rattle though.

Did you check the spare tire? The bracket that holds the spare sometimes comes loose and starts to rattle. It's pretty much behind the pass. seat too.
