Anyone else over 100K miles?
157,000 on my 02 still running strong. Daily driven about 80 miles a day mon-fri.
So far:
replaced convertible top
2 rear Hub bearings
idler pulley and new serpentine belt
countless oil changes and basic maintenance (coolant, diff fluid and trans fluid)
and prob the worst was loosing the rear nut on the axle on the fwy going about 80 or so that set me back some serious money I guess it could of been worse....
Rear caliper, new rear brakes, rear rotor, axle, hub assembly, abs sensor and I think a control arm.
Besides that it runs like a champ.

holy moly! i wonder how clean it was
that's impressive. Must have been someone that loved the car to drive it that much and take care of it.
I bought mine in Summer of 08 with 120k on the odometer. After almost 2 years, it now has a total of 139k on it.
Within the first 500 miles, I immediately ran a treatment of SeaFoam, through the gas, oil, and brake booster hose. This really didn't yield any smoggy exhaust, like it typically does on other cars at 100k and up, and I didn't do any real MPG calculations before/after - but it was mostly for peace of mind. After the SeaFoam ran it's course for about 150-200mi, I changed the spark plugs, oil & filter, and installed a K&N filter (OEM type) in the airbox.
At about 6 months/128k miles, I did stainless brake lines, some bottles of Motul, and some better rotors & pads
Though my OEM brakes that were equipped on the car already were still PLENTY good, the brake upgrade really did make a world of difference, and continues to inspire my other S2K pals to upgrade from OEM brake components.
At 9mo/132k miles I did the tranny & diff treatment w/Redline fluids, and boy-oh-boy were those magnetic drain plugs gunky. Doesn't the book call for the diff to be serviced every 15k? Either way, the next time I change my fluid out shouldn't be based on mileage, but instead due to installing a 4.77 rear end
Really, I haven't done anything else that's remotely close to maintenance, or wear & tear items. I do have an aftermarket clutch/pressure-plate/TO-bearing & flywheel, that I've simply been too lazy to install (I've had them for a very long time..) - but my OEM stuff feels fine, no chatter, no slip, no negatives. I've also never had any temperature issues, but I do have a Mugen thermostat & fan switch, and an ARC radiator cap sitting around waiting for me to order silicone hoses & do the install on.
All I plan to do now, based on miles, and not for performance, is replace my serpentine belt, and do a valve adjustment. Also, what's the deal with the timing chain tensioner? I've read about people replacing it before, but I'm not sure at what mileage, or what scenario it needs replacing. When I spoke to the Honda dealership, they said that timing chain & tensioner are NOT on the book for needing replacement at a specific mileage, but since I'm soon to turn 140k (eventually - LOL) I'd like to make sure I don't get around to it too late.
