Anyone gets burned by their shift knob in the summer?

Don't seem to have that problem this far north, why not just purchase some driving gloves.

I have the OEM titanium knob and keep Rick's black leather knob sock in the cupholder at all times . It's a godsend during the dog days of summer (95+ degrees) here in VA and could also be used when it's very cold, although I've only used it during the summer.

Money well spent I think!

I absolutely must put in a pitch for the Australian kangaroo lucky pouch. It sells for approximately $10 U.S. in many gift shops down under. I have one which I sometimes use as a change purse. It is just the right size for the shift knob. You can produce exactly one pouch per kangaroo, male kangaroo that is. I have been told it is popular as a shift lever boot in the Outback.
I am fighting to avoid any puns about grabbing a handful down under.

The main reason why I prefer the Rick's knob sock is that it is elasticated for a glove fit. The string cinch is not as clean, but definately functional.

Keep an eye out for some leather covered offerings from me next month. I have some samples here I had done a while back and will post pics when I'm happy with the finished product.

A summer special from down under? How hot is it today in Surfer's Paradise? It was balmy today in Wyoming--about 5 deg C and clear.

Oh yeah? Leather covers or only leather knobs?
